Our clients based close to Portsmouth have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Setter / Operator to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in setting, and operating CNC sliding head lathes. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, high standards of workmanship, and a proactive attitude toward sharing knowledge and supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities • Set and operate CNC sliding head machines • Carry out part inspection using standard measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.) • Ensure components are produced to tight tolerances and quality standards • Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting • Collaborate with the team • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Skills & Experience: • Experience with CNC sliding head lathes or similar • Setting and Operating • Experience using Fanuc controls • Able to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments • Strong attention to detail and quality-driven
