About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join our one of our clients manufacturing teams. This role involves setting, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components in line with technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC machines (milling, turning, or both)
  • Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
  • Perform machine setup adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary corrections
  • Conduct quality checks using measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
  • Carry out routine maintenance and report any faults or issues
  • Work to production targets and deadlines
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or similar control systems (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to work shifts if required
Desirable Skills
  • CNC programming experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures
Working Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week with opportunities for overtime
