Manufacturing Operator - Setter

Reporting to: Manufacturing Supervisor

Hours: 37 per week on rotating shifts (including nights)

An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Operator - Setter to join a production team operating across rotating shift patterns. This position is responsible for preparing and running machinery to ensure products are manufactured to specification, meeting both quality expectations and production deadlines.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting machinery with the appropriate tooling and ensuring production runs efficiently and accurately. Working from works orders and technical drawings, you will select the correct materials, including wire types, and carry out in-process inspections to maintain required standards.

Accurate product weighing, monitoring of tooling, and maintaining control of designated equipment form part of the daily remit. The role also requires close collaboration with Technical and Quality teams to address any production or compliance matters promptly. Flexibility is essential, as is a willingness to support wider operational objectives when required.

What We're Looking For

Ability to interpret production drawings and works documentation
Confident using measuring equipment to verify quality standards
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Self-motivated, dependable, and quality-driven
Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights
Able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Previous involvement in cold forming operations
Mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery
