JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting company in Atherstone to recruit a highly experienced CNC Turner – Setter / Programmer to join their precision engineering team.
This role is strictly for senior machinists. You will be expected to take full ownership of jobs from engineering drawing through to finished component, working independently without supervision.
This is not an operator-level role — this is for a skilled, confident CNC Turner who can programme, problem-solve and deliver quality consistently.
The Successful CNC Turner – Setter / Programmer - Package:

£20.00 – £21.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

4 on / 4 off shift pattern

07:30 – 18:00

The Successful CNC Turner – Setter / Programmer - Requirements:
*
Minimum 6+ years CNC turning experience within a precision or production environment
*
Proven ability to independently set, programme and operate CNC lathes
*
Strong experience writing, editing and optimising CNC programmes (online or offline – OneCNC or similar desirable)
*
Confident interpreting complex engineering drawings and tight tolerances
*
Ability to select tooling, materials and cutting strategies without instruction
*
Experience controlling quality, tool life and cycle times
*
Competent using precision measuring equipment for self-inspection
*
Ability to diagnose machining issues and resolve efficiently
*
Experience carrying out routine machine maintenance and fault-finding
*
Strong focus on quality, repeatability and productivity
*
Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for your work

CNC Operators

Trainees or junior machinists
*
Candidates requiring step-by-step supervision
*
Individuals without hands-on CNC programming experience
