CNC Turner Pay, Hours and Benefits

  • £40,000 (including nights shift allowance)
  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 10:00pm 7:30am
  • Only a 4-day working week
  • 32 days holidays including bank holidays

The CNC Turner Position is Commutable From:Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley, Bury, Rochdale

CNC Turner Candidate Requirements

  • Time-served engineer (or equivalent qualification) with strong background in high-accuracy machining environments
  • Proven experience operating CNC turning machinery, with ability to confidently set, run, and adjust machines
  • Familiar with CNC controls including Mazak, Fanuc, and Okuma (preferred)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work accurately from detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience machining stainless steel components to tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Milling experience advantageous, with a strong understanding of precision manufacturing processes

CNC Turner Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Set up tools, load materials, and operate CNC machines to machine components to specification
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate manufacture to required tolerances
  • Inspect and measure components using appropriate inspection equipment to maintain quality standards
  • Maintain accurate quality records and use computer systems for production/data entry
  • Follow health & safety procedures, maintaining a clean working environment and handling materials up to 25kg
  • Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing principles, and 5S workplace organisation
