Job role: CNC Turner, Setter & Programmer
Salary: £35,000 - £41,000
Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-14:30
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
The Company:
Interaction has partnered with a long-established and highly respected manufacturing business specialising in low-volume, high-precision tubular and threaded components for sectors including Aerospace, Motorsport, Oil & Gas and Defence. Due to continuous growth, they are now looking to expand their Turning department with an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer who can confidently hit the ground running.

The Role:
. Produce one-off and small-batch precision components to tight tolerances and high surface finishes
. Program CNC lathes longhand confidently at the machine
. Set and operate Fanuc-controlled 2-axis lathes
. Work from detailed engineering drawings
. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment
. Work with various metals and component sizes, including parts from O25mm x 100mm up to O300mm x 3m (hoist training provided)
. Play a key role within the Turning section, ensuring quality and efficiency
The Requirements:
. Time-served experience as a CNC Turner / Programmer
. Strong ability to write new programs manually using Fanuc, Manual Guide i, and G-code
. Confident producing precision components to tight tolerances
. Experience working on small batches and one-off parts
. Solid understanding of engineering drawings
. Ability to self-inspect to maintain consistent quality
. Positive, self-motivated, hands-on approach
