CNC Turner £16.00 per hour £32,448 + overtime at 1.5, BS16, 33 days hols, 39 hours per week M-F, Flexible start & finish times, Pension, Parking.
Due to retirement this friendly and established sub contract workshop have an opportunity to join their team as a cnc turner however a manual turner could also be of interest. The role is reporting to the machining supervisor.
The cnc turner or manual turner will involve
·Running an XYZ Turning machine with Proturn controls ·Reading and interpreting engineering drawings ·Manage your own workload with jobs allocated from the machining supervisor ·Machining precision engineering parts producing small batches and one off's to fine tolerances but not normally aerospace. ·manual turning would be useful but not essential
Skills required for the cnc turner or manual turner ·Successful candidate is likely to have experience and producing machined parts from engineering drawings. ·If candidates manual turning skills are strong the role could focus on this rather than cnc turning ·The successful candidate is likely to have served an engineering apprenticeship as a skilled machinist, however candidates who are time served in machining could also be suitable if they can demonstrate a suitable track record in either cnc turning or manual machining.
