The Role Contek Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner on behalf of our client, a highly respected engineering organisation operating within technically demanding and innovative industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, well-equipped precision workshop producing complex, high-tolerance components for specialist equipment and high-end scientific applications. The work is varied and interesting, focusing on quality and accuracy rather than high-volume production. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating a range of CNC lathes, including machines equipped with live tooling. You will play a key role in delivering precision components that support cutting-edge engineering projects. Their fully equipped workshop includes the latest Mazak CNC machinery, along with comprehensive in-house capabilities such as Milling, Turning and Wire EDM. The environment is professional, quality-driven and focused on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes

Working with Mazatrol controls (essential)

Producing precision components to tight tolerances

Machining a wide range of metals and plastics

Operating machines with live tooling (desirable)

Ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace

Skills & Experience Proven experience as a CNC Turner

Strong Mazatrol programming experience (essential)

Experience with live tooling (desirable)

Background in high-tolerance precision xehkeey engineering

Ability to machine a variety of materials confidently

Excellent attention to detail

Efficient and accurate working style

Pride in producing high-quality work

Working Hours 37 hours per week Shift Option 1: 13:30 22:15 Monday to Thursday

13:30 18:00 Friday

Shift Option 2: 06:00 14:00 Monday to Friday
