The essentials
Master Mariner Unlimited Certificate of Competency. Extensive senior level command or navigation experience. Proven track record in maritime technical research or policy delivery. Existing right to work in the UK.Your role
Lead a 12-month research initiative to define the future vision for coastal state services and maritime safety. Identify and bridge technical knowledge gaps regarding novel maritime technologies to inform the UK regulatory position. Consult with Lighthouse Authorities and international stakeholders to ensure alignment with global standards. Evaluate the transition from legacy systems to modern navigation and positioning infrastructure. Produce high-level technical reports and recommendations for senior government and regulatory bodies.Your profile
