What you will do:

• Manage an active portfolio of commercial customers along the M4 corridor west.
• Maintain a portfolio of SME customers through account management and promoting Metro Bank's relationship banking products.
• Make lending decisions supporting Metro Bank’s objectives while ensuring operational compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Maximize customer relationships while adhering to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
• Be responsible for credit risk and financial crime risk within your portfolio.
• Support retail colleagues in local stores to generate new business and achieve results.

What you will need:

• Experience managing a portfolio of SME banking customers, including business growth within a banking/financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial banking, with ability to understand and prepare credit papers.
• Experience in portfolio and relationship management with a proven track record of growth.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Proactive attitude to meet and exceed objectives.
• Ability to build rapport internally and externally.
• Awareness of financial crime and compliance standards.
• Understanding of job-related risks and their implications.
