Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Claims Handler for a fats growing, commercial Insurance brokerage in Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a caseload of commercial insurance claims from first notification to final resolution.
- Review policy documentation to confirm coverage and assess liability.
- Liaise with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other third parties.
- Negotiate settlements within delegated authority levels.
- Ensure accurate and timely claim file documentation and record keeping.
- Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate complex or contentious claims when necessary.
- Ensure all claims are handled in line with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience handling commercial insurance claims.
- Strong understanding of policy wordings and claims processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
