Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Claims Handler for a fats growing, commercial Insurance brokerage in Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of commercial insurance claims from first notification to final resolution.
  • Review policy documentation to confirm coverage and assess liability.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other third parties.
  • Negotiate settlements within delegated authority levels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely claim file documentation and record keeping.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and escalate complex or contentious claims when necessary.
  • Ensure all claims are handled in line with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.


Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience handling commercial insurance claims.
  • Strong understanding of policy wordings and claims processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
