About the Role

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will provide high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and insight to support commercial decision-making. Youll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, helping to shape business performance, identify opportunities, and influence outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality financial analysis, forecasts, and performance reports to support commercial planning and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide insight, challenge assumptions, and ensure financial implications are fully understood.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and scenario modelling.
• Analyse sales, margin, cost, and profitability trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Support the development of business cases, pricing models, and investment appraisals.
• Provide accurate commentary and insight for monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Maintain and develop financial models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.
• Help drive a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

About You

Youll be a commercially focused, analytical thinker with a passion for using data to influence performance. You will ideally have:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
• Experience in a finance or commercial analysis role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to challenge, influence, and build effective working relationships.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a desire to add value and drive continuous improvement.
• Studying towards or holding a recognised finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) is desirable but not essential.
