Job Title: Commercial Finance Business Partner

Location: London - Zone 1

Reporting Line: Finance Director, with a dotted line to Commercial Leadership

Contract Type: Permanent, Hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 from home


Role Overview

This role acts as a senior finance business partner to commercial stakeholders, translating strategic initiatives into clear financial insight. The position focuses on pricing, margin performance, and commercial decision support.

The role works cross-functionally with teams across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Procurement to ensure alignment between financial planning and business execution, while clearly articulating risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Partner with commercial teams to support pricing, promotions, and margin optimisation.
  • Translate strategic initiatives into financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistency between financial plans and operational delivery.

Pricing & Commercial Analysis

  • Deliver analysis on pricing and promotional performance, including ROI and key commercial drivers.
  • Support negotiations and commercial discussions through financial modelling and scenario planning.
  • Prepare clear, concise materials for senior stakeholder review.

Performance & Reporting

  • Analyse financial and commercial performance, identifying trends and key drivers of profitability.
  • Highlight risks and opportunities with actionable recommendations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed modelling.
  • Produce regular reporting with variance analysis and supporting commentary.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must have pricing and margin experience
  • Experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering roles, ideally in a multi-site or consumer-facing environment.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders with clear, insight-driven analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP or reporting tools is beneficial.
  • Understanding of margin dynamics and commercial performance drivers.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting processes.
