Base pay range I’m working with a PE-backed manufacturing organisation that is growing both organically and through acquisitions. They are now seeking a commercially minded accountant who can partner with the Sales team to drive growth and performance across the business. Responsibilities include:
Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight that drives strategic decision-making and supports profitable growth. Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and pricing strategies. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning processes, ensuring alignment with PE‑backed growth objectives. Monitor and analyse key financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and cost drivers, to identify risks and opportunities. Prepare and present monthly performance reports to senior leadership and PE investors, highlighting variances and actionable recommendations. Support commercial negotiations by providing financial analysis on contracts, pricing, and customer profitability. Drive cost optimisation initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain operations without compromising quality or service. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with statutory requirements and investor expectations. Collaborate with the PE firm on value creation plans, including scenario analysis and exit strategy preparation. Implement and enhance financial controls and processes to safeguard assets and improve efficiency. Act as a key contributor to strategic projects such as M&A activity, capital investment, and new product launches. Provide clear, actionable insights to non‑financial stakeholders by translating complex data into business‑friendly recommendations.
The right person for the role: You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong experience in manufacturing and a proven ability to build relationships with commercial teams in a fast‑paced environment. Adaptability to change is essential, along with a hands‑on approach.
