Commercial Gas Boiler Engineer (Education Authority - Armagh) CLIENT An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Boiler Engineer, delivering remedial maintenance works across Education Authority schools and colleges throughout Armagh and the surrounding region. This is a secure, long-term role within a stable public-sector contract, offering consistent hours, local travel only, and an excellent work-life balance. The position is ideally suited to engineers with strong commercial boiler and plant experience who are looking for stability rather than install-heavy or reactive call-out work. The Ideal Person We are keen to speak with engineers who have proven experience working on commercial gas boilers and plant in live environments. You will ideally have: * Valid commercial gas qualifications (COCN1 / CODNCO1 or equivalent) * Strong experience in fault-finding and remedial repairs * Background in FM, public-sector, healthcare, or education environments (beneficial) * Ability to work independently across multiple sites * A professional, customer-focused approach * A full UK driving licence Engineers with strong commercial boiler experience who may be missing one element of certification are encouraged to apply, as training and upskilling may be available. Responsibilities You will be responsible for remedial repairs and corrective maintenance on commercial gas boiler plant and associated heating systems within schools and colleges. Responsibilities include: * Fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining commercial gas boilers and plant * Carrying out corrective works following inspections and defect reports * Replacing components such as pumps, valves, burners, controls, and pipework * Ensuring systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational * Completing job sheets, service reports, and compliance documentation * Working in line with Gas Safety, Health & Safety, and contract requirements * Liaising with Totalis engineers, helpdesk, and site staff Remuneration £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) * 37.5-hour working week * Company van & fuel card * Local work across Armagh and surrounding areas * 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) * Company pension scheme * Ongoing training and development For further information on this vacancy, or any other Engineering or FM roles in Armagh or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact us in the strictest confidence.
