Commercial Gas Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems and appliances in a range of environments. You will ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, and repair commercial gas appliances and systems (e.g. boilers, heaters, pipework)

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime

Perform safety checks and inspections in line with Gas Safe regulations

Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including job sheets and service reports (PDA supplied)

Conduct risk assessments

Identify materials and parts required to carry out repairs to the set company standard

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and the Gas Safety regulations

Provide technical support and advice to clients and colleagues when required

Maintain a clean and well stocked company vehicle and always wear the correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations

Keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy at all times, always wear the correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations

Participate in on-call rotas and attend emergency callouts if applicable

Skills & Experience
Valid Gas Safe Registration and Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or TPCP1)

Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent (desirable)

Proven experience as a commercial gas engineer in a similar role

Strong knowledge of heating systems, pipework, and controls

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent problem-solving skills

Strong communication and customer service abilities
