Would you like to work for a long-established and highly regarded mechanical service and maintenance company, known for delivering a reliable and professional service across commercial sites?
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Heating Service Engineer to join an established team, covering sites across the Midlands.
Working on a range of commercial gas systems, you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on boilers, plant and associated equipment. This role would suit an engineer who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and has strong fault-finding ability.
What we need from you:
Commercial Gas qualifications (essential)
Proven experience working on commercial boilers and heating systems
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Knowledge of controls and electrics (desirable)
Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points)
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
Reliable, proactive and flexible approach
Willing to take part in the company call out rota
You must be able to confidently perform the following tasks:
Service, maintain and repair commercial gas boilers and heating systems
Carry out gas safety inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Diagnose faults and carry out first-time fix repairs where possible
Attend breakdowns across commercial sites
Work on pumps, valves, pipework and associated plant equipment
Identify faults, defects and any required remedial work
Ensure all work is completed in line with current Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations
Complete accurate job reports and service documentation
Work to agreed schedules and meet service level expectations
Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 per year, depending on experience.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am 4:00pm (39.5 hours per week).
