Commercial Gas Service Engineer (Field-Based)

West Sussex and Hampshire

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Service Engineer to support our commercial building services and maintenance operations across the West Sussex and Hampshire regions. This field-based role involves servicing, repairing, fault-finding, and installing commercial gas systems across a variety of sites. You will ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Gas Engineer

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas systems, including boilers, heating plant, burners and associated controls.

Perform annual servicing and safety checks in line with Gas Safe and manufacturer standards.

Attend reactive breakdowns, diagnosing faults and completing repairs to commercial gas-fired equipment.

*

Install and commission new commercial gas systems where required.

*

Conduct statutory testing and produce compliant safety certification.

*

Follow and contribute to Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

*

Maintain accurate job records, service logs, certificates and digital reporting.

Manage van stock and ensure essential parts are available.
