What youll do

• Advise colleagues on commercialissuesto reduce legal risk.

• Draft and negotiate contracts that support services, suppliers and partners.

• Spot legal issues early and give clear recommendations that guide decisions.

• Build strong relationships so teams come to you before a problem grows.

• Track transactions and share trends to help improve how we work.

You have

• Provenexperienceof handling your own workload andproviding sound independent legal advice.

• Confidence in identifying commercial risks and negotiatecommercial contractsindependently.

• Proven experience of supervising or mentoring members of a team, supporting other team members to make decisions.

• A law degree or are a solicitor or barrister, or equivalentwith experience in commercialand/or public sector legal work.

• Soundknowledge ofcommercial contract andprocurement law.

• Knowledge and experience of Information Technology contracts could also be beneficial.

• You have strong communication skills and build trusted relationships.

The practical bits

• Youll work Monday toFriday, part-time will also be considered.

• Youll manage your own diary.

• We typically work on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in our Newcastle office, with the rest from home. Our anchor daysin the officearecurrently Monday and Wednesday.
