I am working with a national, leading law firm looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Commercial Litigation team in Birmingham.

The team is led by market leading, Legal 500 and Chambers ranked Partners and is consistently recognised for the strength and quality of its work. You will join a well structured and collaborative team comprising Partners, a Senior Associate, Associates, Solicitors, a Trainee and a Paralegal, all working together on complex, high value disputes across a broad range of sectors.

The Opportunity

This is a genuinely varied Commercial Litigation role offering exposure to high quality, complex work. The team advises commercial and corporate clients across a wide spectrum of disputes, including:

• Contract disputes
• Professional negligence
• Banking and financial disputes
• Intellectual property
• Defamation
• Fraud
• Procurement disputes
• Partnership and shareholder disputes

You will manage your own caseload across the team’s core specialisms, while also supporting Partners and senior colleagues on larger, more complex matters. The breadth and calibre of work makes this an exceptional platform to further develop your career in commercial litigation.

You will also play an active role in business development and contribute fully to the continued growth and success of the team.

About You

The firm is ideally seeking a solicitor with 4–10 years’ PQE in Commercial Litigation, although strong candidates outside of this range will also be considered.

You will demonstrate:

• Solid experience handling a range of commercial disputes
• The ability to manage competing priorities and multiple matters effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach
• Initiative and the ability to anticipate client needs
• Ambition to build your reputation within a leading litigation practice

This role would suit a driven, technically strong litigator looking to step into a senior position within a highly respected and supportive national team.
