Commercial Manager\n\noffice based with occasional client visits\n\noffice based: County Durham\n\nSalary: £45,000 per annum\n\nBenefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays | Company Pension\n\nThe Role\n\nAn opportunity has arisen to join a well-established manufacturing business with a long-serving, highly experienced team. The company has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term customer partnerships within the automotive and manufacturing sectors.\n\nWe are seeking a Commercial / Project Manager from an injection moulding background, who can build upon existing success while helping to drive sustainable growth. This is a customer-facing role within a stable business environment, where collaboration, continuity, and long-term relationships are valued as much as commercial performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and grow a profitable portfolio of existing and new customers\nEnsure RFQs are completed accurately, on time, and to a high professional standard\nAct as a key customer interface, managing long-standing client relationships and new opportunities\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational processes while respecting established, effective systems\nWork closely with experienced, cross-functional teams to develop accurate and consistent quotations\nSupport new initiatives and new product introductions (NPI)\nAssist with product planning, including purchasing guidance,and sales forecasting\nOnboard new clients while maintaining the company's reputation for long-term partnerships\nCoach and support team members within an experienced and loyal workforce\nMaintain clear documentation of customer interactions to support future quoting and relationship management\nDeliver customer presentations and provide technical and commercial advice on products and servicesAbout You\n\nProven experience in injection moulding within a manufacturing environment\nAutomotive sector experience strongly \nComfortable working within an established business with long-standing processes and teams\nStrong commercial awareness with proven negotiation and contract management skills\nExperience managing RFQs, pricing, and margins\nConfident working with experienced colleagues across multiple departments\nA collaborative leadership style, suited to a stable and loyal team environment\nExcellent communication and customer relationship skillsWhat's On Offer\n\nSalary of £45,000\n25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays\nCompany pension scheme\nOpportunity to join a stable, long-established company with a low-turnover, highly experienced team\nA long-term career opportunity rather than a short-term roleAt Morgan Ryder we can provide you with a full range of employment opportunities from short term and fixed term temporary vacancies to permanent positions.\n\nWe recruit for companies that operate in the following industries: Defence Equipment, Food and Drink Manufacturers, FMCG, Packaging, Engineering, Automotive, Aerospace, Warehousing, Logistics, Waste Management, Petro Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Power & Renewable Energy.\n\nOur commitment:\n\nEqual opportunities are important to us.
