Our client is a well-established logistics company providing a diverse range of international shipping services to customers across the globe. Offering cross-trade solutions, they support a UK-based client portfolio that includes both long-standing accounts and new business. As part of the launch of a new division within the Group, they are now looking to appoint a Commercial Manager into a newly created and pivotal role. Working closely with senior management, this position offers the opportunity to shape the commercial direction of the business and develop into a highly influential role within the organisation.
The Role
You will take ownership of all commercial activity, with a focus on driving sales performance, enhancing customer service levels and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the company’s sales and marketing strategy
* Manage and grow the existing customer base, including key accounts
* Proactively identify, prospect and onboard new customers
* Handle new sales leads and freight enquiries
* Maintain and update the CRM system
* Plan, manage and monitor sales and marketing campaigns, reporting on performance and results
