The Commercial Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the commercial performance and operational structure of a high-growth, founder-led fashion brand at a key stage of its development. Working closely with the Founder, this position will be instrumental in shaping and executing the brand’s growth strategy, bringing structure, clarity, and commercial direction as the business continues to scale.

This is a highly hands-on, strategic role within a fast-paced, evolving environment, requiring a balance of commercial insight, operational rigour, and entrepreneurial thinking. The business is open to both fractional and permanent profiles, depending on the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the Founder to define and implement the overall commercial strategy across DTC, wholesale, and brand partnerships
  • Bring structure and clarity to day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment across product, sales, marketing, and supply chain
  • Drive revenue growth through optimisation of existing channels and identification of new commercial opportunities
  • Build and embed scalable processes and ways of working to support growth and efficiency
  • Develop financial and trading frameworks, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Analyse sales performance and customer data to inform strategic decision-making
  • Manage and develop external partnerships, including wholesale accounts and collaborators
  • Support organisational design, including identifying key hires and helping shape the future team structure
  • Act as a key connector across the business to ensure priorities are delivered effectively

Profile

  • Strong commercial and operational experience within fashion, lifestyle, or a high-growth consumer brand
  • Proven track record of supporting businesses through growth and scale phases
  • Highly strategic but equally comfortable operating at a hands-on, executional level
  • Experience working in founder-led or entrepreneurial environments
  • Strong financial and analytical capability
  • Confident bringing structure into evolving or less-defined environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Agile, solutions-focused, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Open to working in either a fractional or permanent capacity
