Commercial Property Legal Secretary Location: Ashford Salary: DOE Contract: Permanent About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join their Commercial Property department. This role provides essential support to a Partner, assisting with the smooth running of a busy caseload involving commercial sales, purchases, leases, and a variety of related legal documents. You will be a key point of contact for clients, managing documentation, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring an efficient, professional service at all times. Key Responsibilities: * Provide full secretarial support to the Partner and wider department, including preparing correspondence and documents through copy typing and digital dictation. * Manage file administration: opening, closing, archiving, photocopying, and filing. * Assist with commercial sale and purchase transactions, including searches, official copies, Companies House documents, exchange and completion tasks. * Produce legal documentation such as lease extensions, deeds, completion statements and Land Registry forms. * Handle Stamp Duty Land Tax requirements, including calculations, submissions, and payments. * Liaise professionally with clients, agents, and other stakeholders. * Manage the Partner’s diary, appointments and reminders. * Monitor progress on client files and highlight any required actions. * Support the wider secretarial team, including answering calls, greeting reception visitors and assisting with post handling. About You: * Previous experience in a Legal Secretary role, ideally within Commercial Property. * Strong organisational, communication and administrative skills. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. * Professional, discreet, and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
