Job Description
We are the embedded hiring partner to a well-established law firm offering a genuine pathway into a Training Contract.
The firm has built a reputation for accelerating the development of early-career lawyers through hands-on exposure to live transactions, client work and structured mentoring.
This role is designed for someone who wants to develop the technical and commercial foundations required for a successful career in commercial property law.
Strong performers in the role will be well positioned to progress into a Training Contract.
The Role
You will work closely with the commercial property team supporting live matters while developing your technical understanding of commercial property law.
From the outset you will gain exposure to real client work rather than purely administrative support tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting lawyers on commercial property transactions and matters
• Assisting with legal research and preparation of property documentation
• Supporting due diligence processes and document review
• Helping coordinate transactions and maintain organised transaction files
• Assisting with drafting and reviewing supporting documentation
You will work directly with experienced lawyers and partners, gaining practical insight into how commercial property transactions are managed and delivered.
Development & Training
A core part of the role is professional development.
The firm has a proven approach to developing future lawyers through structured training, mentorship and real client exposure.
You will receive:
• Ongoing technical training in commercial property law
• Direct mentoring from experienced lawyers
• Exposure to live transactions and client relationships
• A clear pathway toward a Training Contract for high performers
The environment is designed to accelerate learning rather than slow it.
About You
You will have some prior experience within commercial property, ideally in a paralegal or similar role.
You will demonstrate:
• A genuine interest in commercial property law
• Strong academic grounding in law
• Attention to detail and organised working habits
• Confidence communicating with colleagues and clients
• Motivation to develop quickly in a professional environment
Why This Role
You will join a well-established firm that combines strong commercial work with a clear development pathway.
This will initially be a full-time, office-based role in Nottingham, offering direct exposure to experienced lawyers and hands-on learning from day one.
More importantly, the role provides a genuine opportunity to build the experience and capability required to secure a Training Contract.
Our Process
As an integrated extension of the firm’s leadership team, we operate a structured hiring process.
Qualified applicants will receive a detailed video briefing outlining the firm, the role and the development pathway before any formal discussion takes place.
If you are serious about building a career in commercial property law and want exposure to real work from the outset, we welcome a confidential application.
