Commercial Property Paralegal - London / Hybrid

Salary: c. £35,000 (DOE)

A leading London law firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to join its busy and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven paralegal with strong residential property experience who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop commercial property expertise.

Working closely with a Partner, you will handle a broad range of property matters and be encouraged to expand your knowledge through hands-on work and ongoing professional development. This role offers genuine career progression for the right candidate.

The Role

You will support the team on a variety of property transactions, initially with a strong residential focus and increasing exposure to commercial matters. Responsibilities include:

• Managing freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Handling remortgages, refinances and buy-to-let transactions (including company purchases)
• Preparing and filing SDLT returns
• Drafting reports on title and mortgage reports
• Managing Land Registry and Companies House registrations
• Responding to pre-contract enquiries
• Drafting lender standard documents such as mortgage deeds and guarantees

Candidates with some commercial property exposure-drafting commercial leases, preparing contract packs, CPSE responses, or managing data rooms-will be at an advantage, though training will be provided.

About You

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

Essential:

\n
• 12-18 months' experience as a residential property paralegal
• Degree-level education
• Completion of the LPC or SQE1
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong IT literacy
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to professional growth

Desirable:

• Experience in commercial property transactions
• Drafting commercial leases and related documents
• Preparing CPSE replies and contract/data room documentation
