Job Title: Head of Commercial Property

The Opportunity

Simpson Judge Legal are proud to be working with a well-established, reputable law firm based in North Manchester, as they look to appoint a Head of Commercial Property to lead their thriving property team.

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to step into a leadership role within a supportive, forward-thinking firm that is known for its loyal client base, strong local presence, and a genuinely collaborative culture.

With an established pipeline of quality work, the firm is now looking for someone who can manage and grow the department, whilst also playing a key role in the wider strategic direction of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Commercial Property team
• Oversee a varied caseload including acquisitions and disposals, landlord & tenant matters, leases, development work, and secured lending
• Act as a key contact for longstanding clients, offering high-level legal advice and relationship management
• Mentor and support junior team members, encouraging development and performance
• Work closely with senior leadership to drive departmental growth and business development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 8+ years PQE in Commercial Property
• Experience handling a broad range of commercial property matters independently
• Strong leadership qualities with prior experience in a senior or management-level role
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike
• Commercially aware and confident in business development
• Desire to be part of a close-knit and ambitious team
