We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor with a minimum of 3+ years PQE to join our reputable legal team. Horsey Lightly is a very well regarded mid-sized practice in the heart of Newbury, West Berkshire. Our commercial property solicitors have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and you would be joining a dynamic, stimulating team with high standards. The successful candidate would need to have capabilities for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial property transactions, providing expert legal advice and ensuring the highest standards of client service. This role is an excellent opportunity for a committed solicitor looking to advance their career within an experienced team. *Responsibilities** Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases, licences, and sale agreements for commercial properties
* Advising clients on property acquisitions, disposals, and development projects
* Conducting due diligence and title investigations to ensure clear ownership and rights
* Managing transactions from inception through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
* Providing strategic legal advice on planning permissions, planning agreements, and land use matters
* Liaising with clients, agents, surveyors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes
* Keeping abreast of changes in property law and relevant regulations to ensure advice remains current and accurate *Requirements** A minimum of 3+ years PQE specialising in commercial property law within a recognised legal practice.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and effectively
* Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal practice management and document drafting. xbpsjku Leap training preferred but not required.
* Proven experience in managing multiple transactions simultaneously with attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
