Salary: £42,500 per annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Commercial Vehicle Technician on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Commercial Vehicle Technician:

Performing major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz trucks.
Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services.
Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.
Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.
Skills and Qualifications for the Commercial Vehicle Technician:

You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV and/or LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus, will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.

Precision in diagnosing issues and conducting repairs to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes to meet customer demands and maintain workshop efficiency.
