Your new role: Commercial Video Sales, Director
Following our recent achievement of obtaining official YouTube partner sales status, we are creating a new, high‑impact role to scale our commercial offering across YouTube video sales.

The newly created Commercial Video Sales, Director, reporting to the Director of Video Sales, will be responsible for driving sales of YouTube Podcast video spot inventory across Global’s owned and operated suite of channels, along with sales across our partner channels. Working closely with the Director, Video Sales, they will help shape agency strategy and the go‑to‑market communications, ensuring we are best placed to grow and drive revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Drive commercial revenue across video: own and deliver revenue targets through the sale of YouTube podcast video inventory.
Management: manage the output of 2x Commercial Video Sales, Senior Agency Partners, while acting as a key commercial contact for agencies and clients.
Manage and build a strong pipeline of sales: position our YouTube and video podcast output as premium, brand‑sale environments as an effective media channel for campaign objectives.
Package inventory: aid in the development and selling of compelling, audience‑led media packages across video and video podcast inventory.
Optimise delivery and commercial performance: work closely with inventory, planning and delivery teams to ensure campaigns are executed to a high standard.
Win high‑value partnerships: work closely with partnership counterparts to drive inclusion of YouTube spot sales into partnership proposals.
Training and upskilling: be the YouTube and video expert, ensuring all sales teams are up‑to‑speed on the video landscape and opportunities in this area.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have built a strong pipeline of qualified sales, with consistent weekly outreach and meetings.
You will demonstrate a clear understanding of the YouTube sales proposition, formats and targeting capabilities, translating them into agency and advertising campaign objectives.
You will have established relationships with key agency planners and buyers to position YouTube inventory effectively versus competitors.
Accurately forecast revenue and maintain CRM hygiene.
Collaborate cross‑functionally across sales, ops and partnerships to deliver effective campaigns.
Aide in the onboarding and development of new Video Sales Leads.
What You’ll Need
Sales & Closing Ability: Proven track record of prospecting, pitching and closing to deliver against revenue targets.
YouTube & Digital Video Expertise: Strong understanding of YouTube ad formats, audience targeting and the broader digital video ecosystem, and Social Sales ecosystem.
Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and grow trusted relationships with agencies and advertisers.
Storytelling & Presentation Skills: Confident in pitching ideas and translating data into compelling, client‑focused narratives.
Pipeline & Forecast Management: Organised and disciplined in managing pipeline and forecasting accurately.
Management: Experience in developing and managing a team of sales leads.
