Commis Chef – Witney | £12.21 per hour | Monday–Friday

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Witney. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Includes a 30-minute unpaid break
Occasional weekend and evening shifts required to support the team:

Weekend day rate: £15.00 per hour
Night shifts (6:00pm – 2:00am): £16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation in line with HACCP and Health & Safety legislation
Support menu preparation and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality dishes
Work proactively as part of the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef
Assist with Front of House service when required
Ensure full compliance with allergen awareness and procedures
Requirements:

Good understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations
Allergen training (or willingness to complete training)
A positive, team-focused attitude with strong attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Uniform Requirements:

All chefs must wear long-sleeve chef jackets and non-slip shoes at all times
