We have a fantastic position for a Commis Chef in our new restaurant Hop Scotch at the brand new Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC.
Responsibilities
As a Commis Chef youre on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef.
You will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a Chef de Partie, rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery.
This is your big chance to learn all there is to know about your trade.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene
Preparing the ingredients for a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef or Head Chef
Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
Our ideal candidate
Is flexible and creative
Has a real passion for food
Has team spirit
Has a minimum of 1 year experience
Is fluent in English
Is interested in all areas of the kitchen
Is ambitious to grow within the company
Is adaptive to every situation in hospitality
Is well organised and resistant to stress!
