Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Solar PV Commissioning Engineer and Maintenance Engineer include:Commission Solar PV Systems: Carry out commissioning and testing of commercial and industrial rooftop solar PV installationsElectrical Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance across deployed solar PV systemsFault Finding and Diagnostics: Identify electrical faults and implement remedial repairs to maintain system performanceTesting and Inspection: Conduct EICR inspections and complete all associated remedial electrical worksTeam Supervision: Manage and coordinate electricians and subcontractors on site during installations and maintenance workTechnical Documentation: Maintain accurate electrical testing records and complete reports and certificates using tablets and laptopsJob Reporting: Submit detailed job reports and weekly timesheets in line with company proceduresClient Communication: Provide professional communication and support when liaising with clients on siteNationwide Project Support: Travel across the UK to support commercial solar installations and maintenance programmesEmergency Call-Out Support: Participate in a rotating 24-hour emergency call-out service when requiredCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALQualified Electrician with a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations certificationCurrent ECS Gold CardPrevious experience working on commercial solar PV systems and rooftop installationsExperience commissioning electrical systems, carrying out testing and fault findingCITB Health and Safety qualification such as SSSTS or SMSTSFull UK driving licence with a responsible driving recordStrong communication and customer-facing skills when working on client sitesExcellent organisation and time management with a flexible approach to working hoursDESIRABLECity & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection qualificationExperience working with Fronius solar PV invertersHarness and rooftop safety or mansafe trainingIPAF certification for MEWPsPASMA certification for tower scaffoldsFirst Aid qualificationBENEFITSJIB rates paid including enhanced overtime, weekend and night rates in line with JIB working rulesFour weeks holiday plus bank holidaysPension schemeFurther training opportunitiesFully stocked company van with fuel card including travel to and from workPower tools, equipment and company uniformStandby payments and additional call-out paymentsHotels booked and paid for centrally by the company when working awayOpportunity to join a well-established and growing organisationHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
