* Location: East of England (with travel to sites across the region)
* Salary: £60,000 to £85,000 + package (depending on experience)

Turner Lovell are supporting a leading infrastructure services organisation with the recruitment of Commissioning Engineers to support the delivery of high voltage distribution projects across the East of England.
The organisation is a major Independent Connection Provider (ICP), delivering essential infrastructure across the UK. They specialise in the installation, maintenance, and connection of electrical distribution networks, supporting reliable and efficient energy systems for customers. You will be part of a specialist substation build team working across 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV networks.
We are seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers to play a key role in testing and commissioning high voltage plant and apparatus onto live distribution networks. This position will suit individuals who are technically strong, proactive, and confident working across multiple stakeholders within a project environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test and commission high voltage plant and apparatus, integrating with existing protection schemes
Produce and implement commissioning plans in line with project requirements
Provide technical support across projects, resolving design and site-based issues
Attend client meetings and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with current legislation and safety standards
Review and amend technical drawings where required
Support and mentor junior team members, promoting technical development and best practice
Requirements
Proven experience in testing and commissioning on high voltage distribution networks (132kV)
Experience delivering substation projects for an ICP
Strong understanding of engineering standards, procedures, and legislation
Knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, methodical approach
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, designers, and project teams
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
