Complex Care Assistant – Night Shifts – Ashford, Kent

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide overnight care for a13-year-old child with complex medical needs in their home in Ashford. This role involves PEG feeding, epilepsy management, suctioning and ensuring the child’s comfort and well-being throughout the night.

Job Details:

Location: Ashford, Kent

Pay: £15 per hour PAYE, £19 per hour Umbrella

Shift Pattern: Tue and Thu

Night Shifts: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities:

PEG tube feeding and management

Suctioning and epilepsy management

Offer compassionate care

Monitor and respond to any changes in the child’s condition

Administer medications as per care plan

Ensure the child is safe, comfortable, and settled throughout the night

Maintain clear and accurate care records

This is a home-based role, working closely with the child’s family and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, person-centred care.

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK

At least 6 months of personal care experience (home care, hospital, or care home)

DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one

Basic Life Support and Moving/Handling training
