Salary: £105 + per day, paid weekly

Hirecracker Education are working with a Special Educational Needs School in Northwich supporting children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), autism, and complex care needs . We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team, providing personalised support to pupils to help them access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a safe and structured environment.

What you'll be doing:
Supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD, autism, and complex care needs in the classroom, tailoring approaches to individual sensory, communication, and learning requirements
Delivering 1:1 or small group interventions focused on personalised learning, social skills, communication, and emotional regulation
Assisting teachers in planning and implementing structured, accessible, and inclusive lessons
Supporting pupils' social, emotional, behavioural, and health needs using positive reinforcement and consistent strategies
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive peer interactions through tailored support
Helping maintain a calm, safe, and structured classroom environment that promotes focus, engagement, and inclusion
Requirements:
Experience supporting children with SLD, PMLD, autism, or complex care needs in school, care, mental health, social care, therapeutic, community settings or other relevant fields
Knowledge of autism-specific strategies, communication approaches, and sensory needs
Understanding of personalised learning approaches and complex care requirements
Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting children with complex needs
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt approaches to individual pupils
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
