Complex Care Support Worker – 1:1 Package

We are recruiting an experienced Complex Care Support Worker to support a vulnerable young person on a 1:1 package within a community setting.
This is a highly complex role requiring a confident, emotionally resilient individual with strong mental health experience and an understanding of complex physical health needs.
About the Client
The client presents with multiple complex physical health conditions including:

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
*
Gastroparesis & Intestinal Failure
*
Chronic Esophagitis
*
Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)
*
Stroke history
*
Haemangioblastoma
*
Psoriatic Arthritis
*
Osteoporosis
*
Mitral Valve Regurgitation
*
Scoliosis
*
Tarlov Cysts
*
Endometriosis
*
Asthma & Anaphylaxis
*
Dual Incontinence
*
Pressure Ulcers
*
Blood Clotting Disorder
*
Aquagenic Urticaria
In addition, the client is a vulnerable young person diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and requires trauma-informed, psychologically safe support.
Key Requirements
We are specifically seeking a carer with:

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in complex care and/or high-risk mental health settings
*
Experience supporting individuals with severe mental health needs
*
Experience managing self-harm behaviours and crisis presentations
*
Strong understanding of crisis prevention and de-escalation strategies
*
Confidence working within trauma-informed frameworks
*
Awareness of complex and chronic physical health conditions
*
Ability to work 1:1 independently and professionally
Clinical Skills (Desirable)
*
PEG feeding experience
*
Medication administration
*
Pressure area care
*
Management of chronic pain conditions
*
Observations and escalation of deterioration
*
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
This is not a standard support role. We require someone experienced, grounded, and clinically aware who can provide safe, consistent, and therapeutic support.
