Compliance Consultant\n\nJob Title: Compliance Consultant\n\nLocation: City of London\n\nContract Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 months, with potential for extension or permanent conversion)\n\nWorking Pattern: Full Time (5 days in office)\n\nAre you a compliance professional with a passion for financial services? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's dynamic team in London as a Compliance Consultant!\n\nAbout the Role: As a pivotal member of the compliance team, you will ensure that our client's products and processes meet regulatory requirements while driving the best outcomes for customers.
Your hands-on leadership will be crucial in updating and reinforcing the regulatory frameworks that safeguard the organisation.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n\nFramework Embedding: Lead the implementation of regulatory, financial crime, and conduct risk frameworks across all business lines.\nRegulatory Monitoring: Execute and oversee the Compliance Monitoring programme (CMP), ensuring all internal controls remain effective and current.\nFinancial Crime Prevention: Review and enhance systems for countering money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions risks.\nPolicies and Procedures: Write and update policy and procedure documents, ensuring they are effectively embedded within business units.\nAdvisory: Provide guidance to business units to ensure alignment with UK regulatory expectations for new products and trading activities.\nSupport: Assist the Compliance Officer/MLRO in addressing requirements from recent audits.\nAdditional Projects: Undertake other compliance and AML projects as required. \n\nWhat You'll Need:\n\nA degree or equivalent qualification (professional qualifications ).\n5+ years of experience in financial services compliance/AML within commercial banking or MiFID investment firms.\nExperience in diverse cultural environments.\nA strong understanding of UK financial services regulatory requirements and products.\nProven experience in implementing and maintaining comprehensive policies and procedures in financial services.\nExceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders. \n\nIf you're eager to make an impact and thrive in a challenging yet rewarding role, we want to hear from you!
