Job Description
Compliance & Sustainability Manager
Role: full-time, permanent.
Office: London (Hybrid)

CPC are looking to grow our Operations team with the introduction of a Compliance & Sustainability Manager. In this role you will provide operational compliance, sustainability and business assurance support across the organisation. The role will report to the Partner (Business Management and Sustainability) by managing day-to-day compliance activities, maintaining management systems, supporting audits, and contributing to sustainability and social value initiatives. Also supporting the Group General Counsel (Legal Department), the role will play a key part in ensuring the business meets its legal, contractual, and ethical obligations while supporting continuous improvement.
Experience Required:
Experience in compliance, business assurance, sustainability, or HSQE (essential)
Familiarity with management systems (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 desirable) (essential)
Familiarity with DocuSign (beneficial)
Experience supporting audits (internal and external) (essential)
Intermediate to advanced user of MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel (essential)
Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise, and multitask (essential)
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (essential)
Meticulous, with complete focus on attention to detail (essential)
Confidence to work with staff at all levels of the business, and with auditors and clients (essential)
Discretion in dealing with confidential information (essential)
Team player (essential)
Key Duties
HSQE Management System & Legal Administration
Ownership and administration of compliance records including DSE, Risk Assessments, PPE and Fire Risk Assessments.
Coordination and tracking of document reviews within the management system, ensuring version control and approval
Maintenance of Industry Assurance Schemes e.g. Achilles UVDB, RISQS.
Preparation for external audits; programming and evidence compilation
Support bid/operational teams in providing answers and documents for tender returns and client requests for information etc.
Maintenance of information on CPC Way (knowledge library)
Assisting Group General Counsel with various contract management activities, research, and general administration (maintaining trackers, updating templates)
Operational & Supervisory Compliance Support
Provide compliance oversight for office management activities, ensuring legal and regulatory obligations are met.
Monitor and assess competency and compliance of office facilities and business service contractors escalating risks where required
Attend Annual BMS audits by External HSQE Auditor
Audit, Sustainability & Practitioner Activities
Plan and undertake internal project audits, producing findings and improvement actions.
Support the delivery of UK-wide social value initiatives (internal and client requirements), including research, implementation, reporting and communications.
Assist with the preparation environmental performance data, including Greenhouse Gas emissions reporting, in line with recognised standards.
Support the Partner in developing and implementing the global sustainability programme
