Compliance Manager Location: Wakefield, West YorkshireSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceWorking Pattern: Site based / full timeWe're working in partnership with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager for a key site-based leadership role.This is a critical opportunity to take ownership of food and feed safety, hygiene and quality compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, playing a central role in protecting product integrity and driving continuous improvement across site operations. The Role You'll be responsible for leading food and feed safety, hygiene and quality compliance at site level, ensuring operations meet internal standards, external regulatory requirements and business performance targets.Key responsibilities include: Leading site delivery of food/feed safety, hygiene and quality standardsActing as the site subject matter expert and ambassador for complianceLeading HACCP activities and food safety risk assessmentsEnsuring effective hygiene validation, allergen control and microbiological monitoringManaging internal, external and regulatory audits, including corrective action close-outAnalysing performance data and driving evidence-led continuous improvementManaging hygiene-critical suppliers and service contractsLeading, coaching and developing site compliance team membersSupporting site leadership as part of the manufacturing leadership team About You Proven experience managing food/feed safety and hygiene within FMCG or food manufacturingFood science, food technology or similar technical backgroundHACCP Team Leader (minimum Level 4) and Food Safety qualifiedQuality Management Systems audit experience (e.g. BRC, FEMAS)Strong understanding of food microbiology, hygiene standards and legislationConfident communicator with the ability to influence at all levelsStrong people leadership, coaching and team development skillsHighly analytical with a proactive, solutions-focused approach What's on Offer Key site leadership role within a well-established food manufacturing businessHigh-impact position with ownership of food safety and compliance standardsOpportunity to influence site performance, culture and capabilitySupportive environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement and development JBRP1_UKTJ
