Job Description
An established and growing passive fire protection contractor is looking to appoint a Technical & Compliance Manager to take ownership of technical standards, quality assurance, and compliance across the business.\n\nThis is a key, hands-on role at the centre of operations — acting as the go-to for all technical matters, supporting delivery teams, shaping processes, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance from specification through to installation and sign-off, while also contributing to team development and overall business performance.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n * Acting as the technical lead across the business, supporting internal teams and clients\n\n * Overseeing quality assurance across live and completed projects\n\n * Managing and maintaining industry accreditations (e.g. IFC, ISO, CHAS)\n\n * Conducting site audits, inspections, and certification sign-offs\n\n * Ensuring all materials and systems are correctly specified and compliant\n\n * Delivering training and upskilling across survey and site teams\n\n * Managing and developing the surveying and consultancy function\n\n * Line management of senior survey staff and supporting team growth\n\n * Liaising with clients and supply chain on technical and compliance matters\n\nWhat we're looking for\n\n * Strong background in passive fire protection (fire doors, fire stopping, or both)\n\n * Experience in a technical, compliance, or QA-focused role\n\n * Solid understanding of industry standards, test data, and accreditation schemes\n\n * Ability to communicate technical information clearly across teams and clients\n\n * Leadership or management experience within a technical function\n\n * A proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes and standards\n\nThis opportunity offers a business-critical role with real influence across operations, where you’ll play a key part in shaping technical standards, compliance, and quality across the organisation.
