We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to take the reins on some of the most critical safety areas in housing; leading on asbestos management and electrical safety as well as other compliance areas while working as part of a team to deliver water, lift, fire and gas safety.

What you’ll be doing……

• Managing the delivery of electrical safety programmes including 5-year fixed wiring testing and annual PAT, aiming to complete remedials within 30 days
• Leading our approach to asbestos management in line with CAR 2012, including inspection, communication, and incident response
• Ensuring high compliance across services such as solar PV, EV charging, gates/barriers, CCTV, TV systems, fall arrest systems, and access control
• Supporting procurement, mobilisation, and ongoing delivery of key building services
• Collaborating with the Home Ownership and Customer Experience teams to improve processes and gather customer feedback
• Monitoring performance against KPIs, embedding lessons learned, and maintaining high standards across the board
• Supporting audits and being part of the out-of-hours on-call rota alongside operational managers
• Leading, supporting, and motivating a team to deliver excellent services and customer experience
• Contributing to strategic planning, budgets, and performance improvement alongside the Head of M&E Compliance

What we’re looking for:

• Experience delivering electrical services in line with IEE Wiring Regulations
• Knowledge of CDM Regs 2015, asbestos legislation (CAR 2012), and Health & Safety standards
• Proven track record in landlord compliance and asset management in housing or a similar regulated sector
• Confidence using housing/asset systems (e.g. Keystone, NEC)
• Experience leading and managing teams in a customer-focused, compliance-driven environment
• A good understanding of building services procurement and delivery
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — both internally and externally
• Strong data analysis and reporting abilities
• Qualifications such as Asbestos Awareness, Electrical Test & Inspection, and IOSH or equivalent would be ideal

This role of requires the successful candidate to complete a basic DBS check. A basic DBS check will show any unspent convictions.

So why do we need to know this information? This role will be required to visit / support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis. Therefore we have a duty to our residents to ensure that we have taken precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing.
