We have a great opportunity for a knowledgeable and proactive Compliance Technical Manager - Asbestos to join our dedicatedAsset Compliance team. You will take on the role of a Subject Matter Expert within the Asset Compliance Directorate in your key area of responsibility:Asbestos. In this role, youll manage large-scale contracts for asbestos remedial works and asbestos surveying activity, be responsible for business engagement with the central asbestos contractors, lead on ensuring adherence to our Asbestos Policy and Management Plan, and support various stakeholders with asbestos related advice and guidance. You will be the Contract Manager for our central asbestos contracts, maintaining strong performance, quality, and value for money. You will work with the asbestos contractors to ensure a positive, proactive approach to resolving any problems that arise. You will proactively engage with all internal teams undertaking relevant works or surveys, ensuring compliance with regulations and approved guidance. You will work with internal teams to respond to any major incidents, accidents, and near misses. Youll also oversee data integrity by putting in place effective quality assurance measures, including robust checking regimes aligned to a three-lines-of-defence model for both internal teams and contractors. Alongside day-to-day delivery, youll contribute to short-, medium-, and long-term planning to support continuous improvement. A key part of the role will be developing and delivering training plans in-person and virtually, ensuring staff and contractors have the knowledge and skills needed to maintain compliance and deliver high-quality services. This role is based at one of our main offices in Farringdon, Maidstone or Sittingbourne . Travel to the Sittingbourne office is required at least one day per week. BOHS P402 Asbestos Surveying & Sampling (or recognised equivalents) CIH Level 4 in Housing qualification , or willingness to achieve it by October 2029 Proven experience managing large-scale contracts Strong data capability - confident analysing large sets of KPI and financial data Ability to innovate, influence and inspire others Excellent IT skills and outstanding communication abilities Comfortable working in pressurised environments, managing competing priorities effectively A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with the ability to visit sites and other offices when required will be needed.
