Conference and Banqueting Manager

Salary - 32000 We are looking for a proavctive, detail orientated, and service-driven Conference and Banqueting Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-quality events. In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and banquets, ensuring exceptional service and seamless event operations.
you'll collaborate closely with F&B, operations, kitchen, and front-of-house teams to ensure every event exceeds client expectations.
What we offer
£32,000 per annum
CONTRACT: Permanent, full-time contract (40hrs per week) Working 40 hours per week across Monday to Sunday (5 days out of 7)
As a Conference and Banqueting Manager , you will be responsible for leading the events team, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring every event runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Overseeing the planning, setup, and execution of all conferences, banquets, and special events.
Leading and mentoring the conference and banqueting team to ensure seamless event delivery
Working closly with the sales and events teams to understand client requirements and deliver tailoured experiences
Managing event logistics, including room layouts, catering, and audiovisual requirements
Ensuring all events adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Monitoring guest feedback and implementing improvements to enhance service quality
Controlling costs and maximising revenue opportunities within the conference and banqueting department
Managing stock levels and liaising with suppliers to ensure smooth operations
Handling any issues or last-minute changes effeciently to ensure guest satisfaction
The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details, and trusting.
The core skills and experience required to succeed:
Proven experience in conference and banqueting management or a similar hospitality leadership role
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
Good financial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively
Knowledge of food and beverage service, including health and safety regulations
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
