\nCCL Global are currently recruiting for a Several Construction Engineers (Mechanical/HVAC/Equipment/Piping) to work on HPC. The successful applicant will be part of the team responsible for discharging the construction duties onsite under a JV scope.
\n\n
Location: Hinkley Point C site.
\nType of Contract: Permanent or IR35 contract.
\nResponsibilities:
\n- \n
- Delegation of responsibilities to CE’s/Works Coordination Leads. Lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice. \n
- Ultimately accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the construction activities \n
- Define boundary of scope of works \n
- Liaising with necessary SME’s and client counterparts \n
- Ensuring documents are compliant with latest works information and other documentation \n
- Ensure documents are kept up-to-date and reviewed on a minimum 6 monthly basis \n
- Ownership and driving of deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status >90% first time accepted criteria \n
- Prioritisation and ownership of documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan. E.g. T-3 months accepted prior to works \n
- Support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures \n
- Directly report to the Building Manager or nominated deputy. \n
- Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. \n
- Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site licence requirements \n
- Review and feedback on suitability of level of resource to effectively run the support function \n
\n
Deliverables:
\n- \n
- Deliver Construction Work Packs to support the JV programme \n
- Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the JV \n
- Enable the requesting and compliance of the JV for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB \n
- Enable the co-ordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support the construction works \n
- Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support the construction works \n
\n
Qualifications & Experience
\n- \n
- Engineering Degree (or Equivalent) \n
- Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering) \n
- Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher) \n
- CCNSG Safety Passport \n
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH \n
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience of coordinating a multi-disciplinary (Mechanical / HVAC/ Piping) team in a construction environment \n
- Proven track record in nuclear power preferred \n
- Experience working on major construction projects, ideally nuclear or power generation. \n
- Experienced in delivering and operating at an Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures \n
