Area Project Manager (Hinkley Point C) ⚡
Join one of Europe’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects and play a critical role in delivering the UK’s clean energy future.
Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first new nuclear power station built in the UK in over 20 years. With two EPR reactors generating 3.26GW of low-carbon electricity for 60 years, HPC will power around 6 million homes and create lasting economic benefits across the UK.
We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Conventional Island & Balance of Plant team, working directly on site within the Turbine Halls delivery area.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Area Project Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams and Tier 1 supply chain partners to ensure safe, high-quality, and predictable delivery of Turbine Hall construction activities—balancing safety, quality, time, and cost.
You will operate in the medium-term (16-week) planning window, ensuring works progress on site without constraint through robust planning, coordination, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead delivery planning within the Turbine Halls multi-disciplinary area
Develop and maintain integrated Level 4 schedules, aligned to project milestones
Anticipate, manage, and resolve risks, issues, and interdependencies across contracts
Work closely with Tier 1 contractors to ensure constructable and de-risked work plans
Escalate issues where required and develop effective mitigation strategies
Maintain clear and effective communication across all stakeholders
Contribute to area decision-making to ensure “Best for Project” outcomes
Support end-to-end delivery of Turbine Hall construction and installation activities
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
Experience managing contractors and consultants on large, complex construction projects, ideally in a regulated environment
Strong project management capability including cost, schedule, risk, and change control
Proficiency with planning, scheduling, estimating, and risk management tools
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
If you’re looking to work at the forefront of UK infrastructure and make a long-term impact, we’d love to hear from you.
