Requirment: Construction Project Manager

Location: Essex

Salary: £70k (DOE) + Bens

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering construction projects safely, on time, and within budget, while exceeding client expectations and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project delivery from initiation through to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring and close-out.

Manage site teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Develop and manage detailed project programmes to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.

Ensure materials, labour and resources are planned and available to meet project schedules.

Monitor project progress, keeping stakeholders informed and resolving issues promptly.

Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and potential disputes, implementing appropriate solutions.

Review designs to ensure buildability and opportunities for improvement.

Maintain safe systems of work and compliance with site health & safety requirements.

Ensure works are completed and signed off before follow-on trades commence.

Prepare final project reports upon completion.

Requirements

Degree in Construction/Engineering or equivalent experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role (main contractor experience preferred)

SMSTS certification

Ideally Section 278

Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable)

Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills

Ability to manage teams and build strong stakeholder relationships

Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Flexible approach, including occasional overtime and site travel
