Site Construction Manager


As a Site Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing construction activities across multiple sites, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and maintain operational excellence


The company operates within the power generation and industrial engineering sectors, delivering innovative and reliable solutions to clients worldwide. With a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and technical excellence, they are committed to delivering high-quality engineering projects from concept through to completion.


This role will be required to be present on site and this will take up about 50% of your works so very regularly travelling and this could be anywhere across the UK. When not on site you are free to work fully remotely.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage site operations to ensure successful project delivery
  • Coordinate daily construction activities in line with project schedules and budgets
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015
  • Oversee installation, retrofitting, and refurbishment of specialist mechanical equipment
  • Lead and manage subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery
  • Monitor material quality and implement inspection procedures
  • Maintain all safety documentation and perform regular site inspections
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Proactively identify and address risks or challenges
  • Manage site budgets, allocate resources, and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records including safety audits, incident reports, and project progress


Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in site construction management within power generation, industrial, or related sectors
  • HNC/D in Engineering, Project Management, or Operations
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3 & NEC4 construction contracts and CDM regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, fabrication techniques, and technical drawings

  • Flexible and adaptable to dynamic site environments
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site for extended periods
