As a Consultant Ecologist, you will conduct ecological surveys, data analysis, and support broader conservation projects.

Job Purpose
As a Consultant Ecologist, you will conduct ecological surveys, data analysis, and support conservation projects, working with Junior Ecologists and senior staff to assess habitats, conduct species surveys, and contribute to environmental impact assessments. Your role is vital in ensuring ecological compliance and promoting biodiversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ecological surveys, habitat assessments, and protected species surveys.
- Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Support ecological impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Provide ecological advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and best practices.
- Collaborate with conservation organizations and local authorities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to research projects.
Requirements
We seek individuals who will thrive at Envance, possessing attributes such as:
- Self-starter, eager to develop professionally and proactively find solutions.
- Pride in producing high-quality written work.
- Effective collaborator with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in ecological impact assessment, PEA, BNG, and managing survey programs.
- Protected species licenses or willingness to pursue one or more.
- Experience leading survey teams or mentoring early-career ecologists.
- Experience supporting tendering and fee proposals.
- A relevant degree and professional experience.
- Membership or willingness to join CIEEM.
- Full UK driving license.
