Consultant Paediatrician with interest in Neonates

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust are looking to appoint a substantive Consultant general Paediatrician with an interest in Neonates and neonatal developmental assessment to deliver a combined neonatal and general paediatric service and manage a clinical caseload both in‑and out‑patient. The post holder will have responsibility to deliver and manage a Level 2 NNU service. The Neonatal Consultant team work a 6‑week rolling rota. This includes a service week for the Level 2 Neonatal Unit (NNU). As part of the NNU week, the consultant also directly supervises the teaching and training programme. The other 5 weeks are dedicated to outpatient clinics, SPA activity, specialty service, annual and study leave. A morning a week during the other 5 weeks provides cover for the Paediatric Assessment Unit and in reach to Paeds ED. The on‑call commitment is 1 in 6 weekdays and 1 in 6 weekends.
